Week 2 of 52

So there are no bluebonnets out this year, I guess the lack of rain didn't help, but the bugs and butterflies are still around.  The Botanical Gardens in San Antonio is a beautiful place to go.  The gardens attract all kinds of little insects and I was lucky enough to be there to photograph some last weekend.

Week 2 of 52

So week 2 of 52.  School has started back and is in full swing.  I am busy with the four classes I am taking this semester, yeah, I know I must be crazy!   This rose plant is in a small planter that Doug gave me a couple of weeks ago.  It's staying inside until I'm sure the freezing nights are over with and Hopefully I can keep it alive through the Summer.

Week 1??? of 52

So I started on the 52 week project last year, and surprise!  I didn't keep up.  This year, I know I'll do much better as I intend to photograph things around me that catch my attention.  So... here comes Tanner as my {1st} entry.  He is by far the best dog to photograph.  He'll do whatever I want within reason, and stay until I'm done. Pepe might get in occasionally for a picture, but he's not as cooperative as Tanner.  So here's to the rest of the 52.

Week 9 of 52

Okay, so finding time to think of something for me to do and photograph, along with actually implementing it has not worked out so well!  In my defense, I have started back to school and work full time and do photography jobs on the side...sooooooo I have made a decision !   I am going to post a photo a week of something I have photographed.  This photo will not be on my blog in another location. I may still occasionally post one of me doing something or other, if I have some free time.
So for this week... these are flowers Doug brought to me at work. I know, how sweet.  :)
This, I think I can keep up with.  Let hope!

Week 5 of 52

So I have made it to 5 weeks!   It is really Hot outside, so maybe next week should be inside.  Or at the beach at least.  Tomorrow, August 6th is Doug's 41st birthday.  I can not wait to celebrate with him. Dinner out tomorrow and a party on Saturday night.  Lots of friends over to help with the celebration!  Photos of his cake will follow.  I have not attempted this particular type, so we'll see how it turns out.  In my head it looks fabulous.  If nothing else I'm certain it will taste delicious.
Happy Birthday Doug..

Week 4 of 52

I finally broke down and got the last book in the Twilight series.  It really is a good book, but the size of it kind of intimidates me.  I hope I can finish it before school starts next month!
As I said at the beginning of this project, it may be hard to come up with different ideas.  Well, my guess was right.  I need to think about next week already so there will be something new and exciting.

Week 3 of 52

Tanner helped me this week with my 52 week project.  He is one of the most cooperative dogs I have ever known.  He will just sit still wherever I put him and pose until I'm finished taking photos.   If he gets bored, he will just lay down and look up at me asking with his big eyes if were done.

This is Me. Week 1

OK, so I finally did it today.  I started my 52 week project.  This could turn out to be much more of a challenge than I first expected.  How am I going to take 52 photos of myself in the next year?  How on earth am I going to think of new things to do?  I don't think there has ever been 52 photos of me taken in one year before, I am always the one behind the camera. We can go on a family vacation and you wouldn't even know I was there if you looked at the photos!  I am not in any of them unless I throw someone else the camera and ask for a photo !
OH well, I guess I'll figure it out.  See ya next week!  Hopefully it won't be raining outside, I jumped out between rain showers this afternoon to take this shot.
